Image Description:
This is my personal and self-reflective rendition of “Miss Mary Mack”. Growing up, my father and I shared a love for gardening. Our favorites were Caladiums and Chrysanthemums. The fence in the background is an iron gate by phenomenal artisan and blacksmith, Philip Simons. Original piece is a part of my "Miss Mary Mack" collection, previously exhibited at Charleston County Public Library's Saul Alexander Gallery. See full collection here.

"Ujorii" is a blend of both "Ujima" and "Satori", meaning collective work, responsibility and sudden enlightenment. I believe that these three acts are pertinent in creating a cohesive and understanding entity. My work is reflective of the emotions of humanity. Each pigment, texture and element used in my work are meant for viewers to acquire a sensory experience. I experiment through different mediums and styles with a focus on empowering and uplifting women.
